First Lady Jeanine N. Gladney is married to Pastor Charles D. Gladney Sr., and they have three wonderful, gifted, and talented sons, Javonte, Charles Jr., and Jediael, who all share in the work of the Ministry. First Lady Gladney engages in mentoring and collaborating with young women in the church and throughout the community. She also participates in fellowship activities, delivers religious teachings, and spends time with her husband, sons, and grandchildren.
First Lady Jeanine N. Gladney was born in Muskegon, MI. She attended Mount Herman Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of her grandparents, Reverend David and First Lady Vern McIntosh. Under her parents and grandparents’ teachings she learned early how to work in various capacities of the ministry. At the age of 14, she was elected Youth President of the Western District General Baptist State Convention (GBSC). She preached, taught, and organized youth worships for over two hundred and fifty youths. Also, as a youth she sang in the Western Michigan State choir and traveled to various cities and states. Singing with the choir she witnessed the Power of the Holy Ghost and the hand of God touching lives which created a desire in her wanting more from God. However, it wasn’t until after graduating from Muskegon High School and joining the United States Army, serving a tour in Germany she clearly heard God speak to her “The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life,” as she walked with tears rolling down her face. She asked the Lord to save her, and her life completely changed.
First Lady Gladney joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged after serving 8 years. Her educational background includes an Associates of Interdisciplinary studies and a Bachelor of Arts (major Mathematics; minor Computer Science) with Cameron University Lawton, OK; as well as a Master of Business Administration from Webster University St. Louis, MO.
